Ian Priest - Introduction
ReplyDeleteHow's it going everyone? My name is Ian Priest and I go to Strasburg. I am in several sports throughout the year, with them being soccer, swimming, and cross country. Soccer is the coolest sport in my opinion, although I am absolutely terrible at it and my coordination is worse than a six week infant. I have two sisters, with me being the youngest, and an uncle of two of the coolest little kids in the world.
The technology I would like to learn this year is definately Excel, which seems to illude me, and, perhaps, Prezi. Math is my favorite subject so Excel is a priority, but perhaps being able to show off an awesome assignment on Prezi wouldn't be that bad either.
Ally Hepner - Introduction
ReplyDeleteHey guys! My name is Ally Hepner and I go to Stonewall. I am one of the lucky ones who's drive is only 5 minutes to and from Gov School. I am a very active and outgoing person! I am in numerous clubs at stonewall, but I spend most of my time on a soccer field. I play soccer at Stonewall as well as on a travel team in Harrisonburg. My weekends consist of traveling to games and practices, but hey I am not complaining! Outside of soccer and school I love hanging out with friends, you can often find us at a frozen yogurt shop or just chilling at each others houses.
Technology wise, I can use all the help I can get! I am not a technology savvy person as I couldn't even find the 'new post' button on this user friendly site. I especially want to further my knowledge in Excel. It appears that we will be using that program a lot in statistics, so knowing all the steps and processes is essential.
Hello everyone! My name is Rachel McCoy and I attend Page County High School. I am an extremely busy person and I enjoy being involved in many different activities. I love sports. I play volleyball, basketball, and softball. Softball is more than a sport to me, it is a lifestyle and a passion. Currently I am dying inside because instead of being on the court or on the field I am sitting in an annoying black boot. This is hard for me but I've learned to be grateful for how blessed I really am and try to focus on the good. I am in multiple clubs at my school and I am the class treasurer. My friends and family mean the world to me. If I ever have any free time I watch a good movie or read an entertaining book. I have the best job ever and that is babysitting the cutest 3-year old boy. As for technology, I am probably as capable as the 3-year old I watch. It was a struggle just to get on this blog. Learning anything new about technology would be helpful because I know I'll need it throughout life.
ReplyDeleteHello everyone! I am Thomas Bellerose and I attend Stonewall Jackson high school, you know that one only 2 minutes away from gov school. My favorite class has ALWAYS been math. Science comes in a close second though. During the year I play soccer for my school and in the off season I do many extreme sports (don't know why they're called that) like snowboarding, skiing, and riding dirt bikes. During the winter I work out a Bryce Resort as a ski instructor and would recommend everyone to attempt skiing or snowboarding sometime in their life.
ReplyDeleteThis year I hope to utilize new programs and technologies that I have not used often before such as Microsoft Excel and blogs such as this one. Learning to become proficient with these technologies will help advance my future schooling and careers. I also need to learn to check my email and get used to the integrated system that schools are gradually shifting towards. I have a very hard time remembering to do something when it is not a tangible object I can stick in the front of a binder like a packet of notes.

I am also involved in many clubs and activities at school. When I'm not busy with school activities, I love hanging out with my friends and famiIly. I also love being outdoors. When it comes to technology, I am fairly up to date but still have a lot of learning to do. I want to learn how to use Prezi and some of the other features of Excel. I am proficient with other Microsoft programs but Excel is my weakness. I also want to get used to using a blog and hope to become good at it!
